General Information
Teaching Mindfulness to Children: Introductory Information
I am looking forward to working with you on the Learn to Teach Mindfulness to Children course. The course consists of six modules and the first module is available on January 21st.
From then on, a new section will be released weekly for those who have completed the previous week's material.
As far as possible, we recommend working through one module weekly. During this time you will have the full support of the tutor and weekly emails will be sent out answering any questions from students and giving you links related to that week's topic. We understand that life can be unpredictable so let us know if you fall behind so that we can help you get back on track. You have access to the course for 9 months from the release of the last module so there is plenty of time to complete the material and ongoing support is offered. We recommend allowing 3 hours per week to complete each section which includes time to develop your own practice which is a key element of your teaching.
We offer two 45 minute live sessions which will be recorded and available for you to watch later if you are unable to attend. Each student is offered 2 x 30 minute one to one sessions with the course tutor, Christiane Kerr. These can be used to discuss a mindfulness related topic of your choice, from advice on deepening your own practice, setting up mindfulness classes for children and teens or simply discussing ways to integrate mindfulness into your family life or particular setting.
